Competition Terms and Conditions

Introduction

By participating in the competition, you are agreeing to these competition terms and conditions. The competition is being run by Refine Events Pty Ltd.

Eligibility to Enter

The competition is open to entrants who are at least 18 years of age or older. Refine Events Pty Ltd employees and their family members are excluded from the draw.

To be eligible for the prize, your wedding must take place in the Perth Metropolitan area* (this includes Swan Valley). Travel fees will apply for weddings outside of this area and will be charged at full cost.

To be eligible for the prize, your wedding must take place on/before 31 December 2027.

Entry is via the competition entry form accessible at www.refineevents.com.au/yesplease. Entry forms are to be received by midnight on Thursday 23 January 2025. No further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility will be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

There is a limit of one entry per person and the competition is completely free to enter.

By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.

The Prize

The winner will receive 50% off the cost of their Design and Styling package. The package cost is for the Refine Events Pty Ltd professional fee for design and styling services (one Stylist) only.

The discount does not apply to additional staff fees, travel fees or any out-of-pocket expenses.

The package does not include the cost of rentals and décor.

A Refine Events Pty Ltd Design and Styling package starts from $3,300 (incl. GST) and is dependent on the specifics of a wedding including location, size and scale. The customised quote will be emailed to the winner within the seven days of an initial consultation. The consultation must occur within 28 days of the email notification of the prize. The winner will have 14 days from receipt of the quote to accept the quote to claim the discount. The deposit will be due upon receipt of the service agreement.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.

Refine Events Pty Ltd reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value (limited to $1,650) if circumstances beyond our control require doing so.

The use of specific brands as prizes by Refine Events Pty Ltd does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.

Refine Events Pty Ltd's decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winner Announcement

The entrant who describes their vision and vibe for their wedding best in their entry form, in the opinion of Refine Events Pty Ltd, will be selected as the winner.

The winner will be notified by email on Wednesday 29 January 2025. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Refine Events Pty Ltd reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

At the discretion of Refine Events Pty Ltd, more than one winner may be selected from the entrant pool.

Delivery of the Prize

The discount will be applied to the Refine Events quote and will be applied to eligible invoices thereafter.

Data Protection and Publicity

You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the competition will be used by Refine Events Pty Ltd for the purposes of administering the competition and for other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

The winner’s name will be published on the competition entry page at www.refineevents.com.au/yesplease.

The winner's first name may be announced on Refine Events Pty Ltd's social media channels.

Limitation of Liability

Refine Events Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by entrants as a result of participating in the competition or being selected for a prize.

General

Refine Events Pty Ltd is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

Refine Events Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Refine Events Pty Ltd’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Refine Events Pty Ltd.

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

*The Perth Metropolitan Area includes the local government areas of Armadale, Bassendean, Bayswater, Belmont, Cambridge, Canning, Claremont, Cockburn, Cottesloe, East Fremantle, Fremantle, Gosnells, Joondalup, Kalamunda, Kwinana, Mandurah, Melville, Mosman Park, Mundaring, Nedlands, Peppermint Grove, Perth, Rockingham, Serpentine-Jarrahdale, South Perth, Stirling, Subiaco, Swan, Victoria Park, Vincent and Wanneroo, and the western part of the Shire of Murray.
