Understanding Your Vision
Our journey begins with an initial consultation where I get to know you and your partner, understanding your desired wedding vibe, how you want to feel, how you want your guests to feel, and the lasting impression you wish your wedding to leave. Reviewing your inspiration images and discussing your styling budget, which encompasses florals, lighting, candles, day-of stationery, draping, furniture, tableware, and linens, helps me shape a clear picture of your dream wedding. I send you a questionnaire prior to our meeting to guide you through defining your vision.
10+ Hours of Design
The heart of a wedding designer’s work lies in the conceptualisation phase. Over 10+ hours, I meticulously plan the look and feel of your wedding, down to the finest details for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I create mood boards and mockups for each component to give you a tangible visual representation of the final outcome. During this phase, I also source and cost all vendors and items necessary to bring the design to life. Floorplans are developed to ensure the ideal layout for ease of movement and event flow.
Booking and Coordination
Once you have approved the design and vendor selection, I take on the task of booking styling vendors and confirming quotes. Agreements and invoices are sent to you for processing. I liaise with styling vendors about the design details and coordinate day-of logistics to ensure that bump-in is seamless on your wedding day. Regular communication with you for approvals and attending vendor meetings as needed, keeps you in the loop and reassured that the vision is being executed perfectly.
Site Visits and Preparation
Site visits assist with confirming and finetuning design details. I also handle the pre-wedding acquisition and collection of styling items and day-of stationery. Pre-event packing and napkin preparation ensure my team and I are ready to style your wedding.
Wedding Day Styling
On the wedding day, I oversee the styling vendor bump-in and setup. My team and I manage napery setting and steaming, refining furniture placement, and styling your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces. This includes setting places, styling the tablescape, and arranging day-of stationery. After the ceremony, we can assist with packing pack down the space and relocating items to the reception area, or transform the ceremony space into the reception space.
Packing Down and Final Touches
After your wedding, I ensure the venue is packed down, tableware and hire items are rinsed and counted, and oversee vendor bump-out. I also return hire items and drop off unwanted flowers to organisations where their beauty can continue to spread joy.
